The Bass Station II offers advanced sound sculpting tools, including microtuning editing, fixed duration envelopes for tightening drum patches, independent sub-oscillator tuning, oscillator glide diverge for unique portamento effects, filter tracking, oscillator error effect, and envelope retriggering for rhythmic manipulation. The paraphonic setting allows playing two notes at a time with separate pitches, ideal for layering tones or creating dynamic leads over a repeating bass figure.

With its 25-note keyboard supporting aftertouch, the Bass Station II provides expressive performances. It is well-suited for heavy-hitting bass with two main oscillators, hard-syncing for punchy tones, and a sub-oscillator for bottom-end reinforcement. The synth features two discrete filter designs, Classic and Acid filters, each with an overdrive circuit for varied tonal options.
