In the video you get the snare sound by laying the tom tom on top of the snare drum. This not only helps to get the snare sound but when you turn the snare off the tom tom sound comes through a lot louder thus using the snare drum as a resonator. The drum is demonstrated by putting it on a cymbal stand, which increases its' ability to create more sounds and playing techniques and the last demonstration is playing the drum as a hand drum while held between the knees. In the beginning of the video I am sliding a magnet across to change the timbre and the pitch of the drum. Very Versatile !!!!! This slit -tom is 10" x 3" with a bamboo shell and walnut marimba.
