The M8 is an 8x1 midi merger, allowing you to get all of your midi outs onto one cable.
This one is a esthetically in like new condition but it has a problem where if it touches the rack directly it shuts off. I'm not sure if that is a problem with my setup or the unit itself, but I've managed to get around it just by insulating it from the rack with some electric tape. Comes with 2 midi cables.
I also have for sale an 8x8 midi though which works well with this to take care of any midi routing needs you might have, available to bundle at a discount.
