RARE SPAUN 12x5,’' Maple Snare 8-Ply Almost MINT Aqua Marine Sparkle Finish (NO WRAP) serial 010235

For sale one of the most beautiful snare drums that I have ever collected.

A maple SPAUN with an 8-ply shell in the very rare 12x5" size is in almost perfect condition  (as seen by the photos which show it on all sides).

The chrome parts have no rust and the shell has no dents or discolored areas.
The sparkle finish is given by the color mixture and is NOT covered by a wrap.

The edges are carved at 45° and the snare bed is made with the Hyper-Sensitive method of which SPAUN is proprietary.

These specifications give it a clean sound rich in harmonics, but decidedly full-bodied for a 12'' diameter.

For these reasons it is not "just" a side-snare but can easily be used as a main snare in genres such as jazz, latin, funk, hip-hop etc...
