You've got to love the Butterslax. It's definitely not understated. I live in Atlanta, so of course have to love Bill Kelliher and Mastodon. This is the highest gain, tightest amp Friedman makes. It's capable of searing gain while maintaining articulation - which is no easy feat.
The missing piece has always been a true "clean" channel. The factory clean still has gain in the structure - so you basically have dirty clean, high gain and super gain. On this one Dave added a mod for the BE Clean channel with a switch on the front. Switch one way and it's a true chimey clean, and the other way it's the factory dirty clean. That small mod adds amazing versatility to this amp.
And it also has the black front plate from the factory. Comes with original two-channel footswitch.
