YAMAHA Beech Custom Yess - 10 x 9 - Vintage TOM DRUM purple/blue lacquer gloss

very rare vintage Yamaha Beech Custom 10x9 tom in crazy blue purple lacquer gloss with the yess mounting system that sings like a bird or a well oiled machine i have 3 vintage toms for sale they have all bin professionally restored these shells are the best this one is beech this tom would be great for high tuning or high mid tuning with a bit of a pitch bend makes a great top of the kit and still has enough of a meaty depth to it and in great shape vintage aged in shells with yess system sustain and i was not the original owner they all have had sum slight pitting scratching to the exterior of the shell that got fixed with a epoxy paint and it is to match the drum as close as possible yet not perfectly so from a far its good and up close you can see the slight paint which is better then scratches as they are now sealed in and protecting the shell furthermore all 3 toms had new 30 degree bearing edges put on by Chris Heuer at his drum lab in LA to inshore the round and true of the shells these drums speak and tune and play very well experiment with head combinations and turnings thinner heads higher jazz tuning thicker heads lower rock tuning these toms are ready to go this Beach Custom has no badge and is priced accordingly

the beech custom is left , the price is low for what it is and cant go any lower ,. its the best ,. the finish on this one is in good shape the slight epoxy sealing paint on a few scratches the slight color shift gives it a very tie die psychedelic look,.. this one is in very good shape and the yess system is really nice and the lugs on this are sexy this is a very well made drum all around has perfect new bearing edges on a high quality vintage shell if i played a 10 inch i would keep it,.. it's super nice ,.. :)

again this is beech wood the size the yess system and finish makes it so this is the best tom you can get for the high end of your kit ,the beech wood is naturally tuned and noted especially for that it beats out rtc recording custom maple custom for the 8 and 10 inch spot and range of tuning this could also go tune high and be a jazz tom as it can sustain and ring like crazy however its ment for fusion funk rock or sum new school stye what ever you cant sleep on the beech custom warm fat and a sweet high tom ,. its worth double the price :) or more its low -

latest update is i have sold out 9 out of my 10 drums that is another reason this last drum is so low i can return as i have a lot of drums and cycle threw them 12 inch snare drums i still have 5 one i know for shore im keeping maybe all of them maybe not i will list in the future when my studio is completed,. any way the beech custom i would have every yamaha kit including this one , this tom is perfect has a few scratches that were fixed, all the lugs bolts are gone over and tight, has drum diel which seals the edges better then a butchers wax or anything else a little bit is applied and wiped in so changing heads and playing away its now good for forever, what i was doing was when i was younger i played a more fusion five peace configuration , snare drum 12'' kick drum now and twords the end of that era i went down to a 18'' and tom configuration top tom 10x9 yamaha beech custom mid tom 10x10 yamaha RTC and floor tom 16x16 RTC ,. 10'' 10'' 16'' the only way to make that work is to make my high tom the beech custom because its natural noted to hit that up top pitch then the mid 2nd tom is the RTC its blended woods gives a lower tuning range so this is how i would play a more compact five peace set up and have what others would have to get out of 10'' 12'' 14'' toms ,this can only truly be achieved by changing shell material if you notice i had a lot of classic great hard to get 10'' toms this power tom configuration would work well with the 18 kick and still be low enough in height any how this was my final stab at this configuration and i had built this be4 with a 22 also another with 20 kick drum so the part that is important to you is that i built this tom set up 4me and never played it! as i moved onto a more simple set up i show sum pictures my kit also has all the same mods this drum has, this tom is whats left its needed if you want something like 10 10 14 16 tom set up having a 5 peace with more space for the ride cymbal to fit in on the right side twice as easy to get around the kit! its also needed if you want a 4 peace configuration this beach 10 up top and a 14 or 16 floor , or its worked into a 5 peace or greater drum kit, the beech custom is what is left ! ! it is the quality of a recording custom this is beech not birch making it a step up in pitch better for jazz fusion higher tuning with sum ring and sustain and the warmth with the classic yamaha sound once you go as far as hand selecting brand lugs hardware size wood material edges head combos and tuning to a specific range the top of the kit then well you did it , in vintage purple/blue gloss,, on sale ready to ship ! and priced accordingly :)
