Selling these rare and beautiful Bang & Olufsen Beolab 8000 speakers, which I acquired recently in a home purchase from an audiophile owner. (I have my own audiophile setup -- the monitor speakers in the photos -- and I can tell you that the B&O's acquit themselves very well next to my much more expensive Raidhos.)

I am selling these at a substantial discount to the $1200 -$1500 and up that they sell for used on eBay and audiophile sites because I did not purchase them myself and don't know their provenance beyond the home they came from and because one of the domes on one of the midrange speakers has some small indentations in it (see photos) . So far as I can tell -- and I've been listening carefully -- the indentations make zero difference to how the speaker sounds, and I would bet money that no one could tell on a blind listening test. Otherwise, the speakers themselves seem to be in very good condition with no tears or damage. There's some minor fraying of the foam around the exterior of the enclosures, but it's invisible with the grilles on. Note, the foam around the speaker enclosures themselves looks to be in excellent condition. I know that this is a concern with these speakers but I really don't see any visible signs of damage. In any event, repair kits are available for under $30 online. I can't post a direct link here, but check out "SimplySpeakers.com" and search for Bang and Olufsen foam repair kits, for example.

Cosmetically, these speakers are a delight to behold and will fit into any space elegantly and easily. I have not gone over every inch of the aluminum "organ pipe" speakers, but have only noticed a couple of tiny scratches. Note, these speakers are attached to cast iron bases. They are heavy -- around 47 lbs each! There is a bit of barely visible discoloration on one of them. I have 8 screw-in feet pins which I believe, but am not sure, may also be used for the bases. Besides that, I have an extra "T" cable and another cable that I believe can be used to daisy chain additional speakers together if desired. The black speaker grille covers are in very good shape too.

I do not own other B&O equipment so I have these set up via line RCA connections to my Cambridge Audio streamer. Note, these are POWERED speakers so they don't need (and shouldn't be connected to) a power amp. I have both the original B&O Powerlink speaker cables for connection to a Beogram audio source. However, I had to cut one of the 7-Din connector plugs from one of the cables in order to remove it from the wall in which the cable was permanently installed. If needed, a replacement 7 pin DIN cable can be purchased for under $15.

The sound from these speakers is rich and warm, with a particularly transparent mid-range, clear highs, and a surprising amount of bass given that they are not paired with a sub. The "Apple" of the audiophile world when they came out, they get great reviews.

You're welcome to bring your own audio source to check the speakers out, or you can listen to them through my streamer. Please don't low-ball me. At this price someone is going to get a piece of Danish design that will knock the socks of anything you can get at a similar price.

Note, these are stickers on the speakers stating: "Early sample." Not sure what that means, but they are definitely Beolab 8000s.
