Meinl CAX3 Large Hand-Woven Rattan Caxixi Shaker

The Meinl Large Caxixi is a hand-woven, rattan basket shaker with a coconut shell bottom. This design gives you two different sounds - a hard "Ca" if the beads contact the coconut, and a soft "xi" if they contact the rattan.

While caxixi are naturally going to be softer than a maraca, the unique rhythmic grooves you can perform on this instrument are hard to substitute!
