This listing is for a sweet 1954 Olds Super tenor Bb trombone in great condition for a 70-year-old horn with a ProTech case (as shown in the last photo).
This Olds Super is AMAZING! It has the fastest slide that I’ve ever tested (due to its unique polygon shaped slide tubes). Other than two insignificantly tiny spots where it has worn through the nickel plating, the slide tubes are in excellent condition without any dents. The beautiful bell has about 95% of its original lacquer with only a few spots where the lacquer has worn through and a few minor dings (see photos).
The Olds Super is the absolutely the best tenor trombone in my opinion (and in the opinion of many others as well). It slides perfectly and sounds phenomenal! For those who know Olds trombones made in the USA by expert craftsmen will know what I’m talking about. Hands down the best… period.
I am Joe Bolton (trumpet.gallery). I personally tested and cleaned this instrument. I hereby certify that it is fully functional, and is all ready to play. Please note that included is a ProTech case (as shown in the last four photos). However, since trombone mouthpieces are available in such a broad range of various sizes and shapes, a mouthpiece is not included, so the mouthpiece of your choice is to be purchased separately.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
-Joe Bolton
