MSA D12 Pedal Steel (c.1975)

Known for their balanced tone, solid build, and characteristic sound, MSA pedal steel guitars are instantly recognizable among players, many of whom consider the MSA Classic to be one of the finest steels ever made.

This double 12-string beast is a RARE find. With it’s white woodgrain formica cabinet and All-Pull undercarriage, this guitar is built like a tank and plays beautifully. It boasts 9 Pedals & 5 Knee Levers with a 2UP/2DOWN changer and standard hex nut tuners. Up top you’ll find solid Grover machine heads and MSA Super Sustain pickups.

Both necks, though augmented with 2 additional strings, closely resemble a standard D10 copedent. The E9 is an Emmons style setup with extended low range, thanks to a lower G# and E. The E changes are on the left knee and pedal one raises the B’s. The C6 neck is a Jimmy day setup with 2 additional notes in the higher register, neither of which have changes attached so there are several options for how these could be tuned. That will be up to the lucky player who ends up with this rare find!

The undercarriage is very clean and recently serviced. Electronics were modified at some point but are newly wired and good to go!
