NOS Shadow Hills Industries Equinox, Serial Number 392, provenance posted.
Equinox commissioned directly from Peter Reardon (Shadow Hills) for a mastering studio project that fell though.
UNIT IS NOS. Custom hand-built order from SHI. Cosmetically immaculate. Unboxed for order confirmation, visual inspection, performance testing, and photos, then returned to shipping container. Never racked, deployed or otherwise used. Not so much as a fingerprint. Zero studio time. Only audio signals it has passed are from Agilent and Tektronix. Sonic performance is flawless. Time on units like these is money. Sitting on them in a downturn is untenable.
October of 2013 build tested, certified and and inscribed "QCV, TM 10/13'" in manual by Peter, with his signature rays, by way of certification for us. Custom order for him to personally wind all six trafos, because we can hear the difference. Two each of Iron, Nickel and Steel. These sing.
If you are looking for an Equinox, this is the one you want. If you are looking for a stereo mic pre, it's hard to do any better. The addition of monitor control and summing in same unit is extremely useful.
