Oahu Jolana 1954 - White Pearl

An original 1954 Oahu Jolana double neck lap steel. White pearl finish and gold hardware. The pickups work and sound great! All original electronics that will need to be addressed. The volume control works well but the tone control does not. Typical of an instrument of this age and the original cap or resistor will need to be replaced. Missing the two plastic pickup covers these came with. The input jack is intermittent and if the jack doesn't sit right, there is a loud ground hum. That can be fixed when the tone control is looked at. The plastic plates under the volume and tone control have cracked over the years and it looks like the original owner glued them to reinforce. Look at pictures carefully. The tuning pegs have been lubricated and work great. The old buttons have aged and shrunk and one has broken off. The others seem to have a little life left in them for now. We replaced the broken button but have included 11 matching spare buttons in the case for you for down the road. The tuning button/rod for the low string on the top neck is slightly bent. Hard to see unless you turn it quickly, but doesn't effect tuning. Three position pickup selector that works great. Includes original hard shell case. The double neck makes it easy to go back and forth with different tunings. A really great piece that should be used!
