Up for sale is a beautiful early 1950s Gibson Royaltone Lap Steel in very clean vintage condition, complete with its original hard shell case. These classic Gibson steels are becoming increasingly collectible, and this one delivers the warm, rich tone you’d expect from a vintage Gibson P-90 pickup.

The pickup sounds fantastic — clear, full, and dynamic with that unmistakable vintage Gibson character. The electronics appear to be original and are functioning well overall. The only issue worth mentioning is that the input jack can be intermittent at times and should be serviced by a qualified tech for dependable long-term use.

Cosmetically, this lap steel presents very nicely with a gorgeous maple top, brown back and sides, and great vintage vibe throughout. It appears to retain the original Kluson tuners, though the tuner buttons have likely been replaced, which is extremely common on Gibson instruments from this era due to the original buttons deteriorating over time.

• Original tone knob shows some visible checking/crazing but remains solid and works properly
