1964 Ludwig Super Classic
14x22, 9x13, 16x16 in Black Diamond Pearl, excellent condition. Dates and serial numbers lean to 1964 (best as can tell). 13 and 16 have red felt mufflers, baseball bet levers, 22 has no date stamp.
Serial numbers are as follows: 9x13 - 38845, one small scratch, no lifting, very slight separation
16x16 - 38892 (2 small scuffs just above and next to badge that can be seen in the photo).
Both of the above drums show 6/16/64 date stamp (16 is very clear, 13 is smudged but looks like the same date).
14x22 - 29420 Bass drum does come with rail mount and cymbal arm and mount, both in excellent condition, hoops refinished and in excellent condition! Seam is tight but shows very slight separation.
Also available is a 1966 color matching Jazz Festival snare (5x14) date stamped 5/13/66 for an additional $450. 70's P83 etched logo throw off, original butt, Pure Sound Percussion snare wires. One scratch, and upper seam lift, one spot, very slight.
While not the original owner, I've owned and cared for this kit for 26 years. Never gigged out, meticulously cared for, and comes from a smoke free environment. Finish is deep and doesn't appear to show any fading. No lifting or separation found at the seams.
