Sampler synthesizer
TEENAGE ENGiNEERING OP-1 is an all-in-one portable synthesizer, sampler and controller. with additional features like a built-in FM radio and an assignable G-force sensor for motion-controlled effects.
Its modular architecture allows for endless sonic possibilities without complicating or distracting your workflow, and the compact design and real-world physical interface make it challenging to create music, regardless of the user experience.
With ten synthesizer engines, eight high-quality effects and multiple routable LFOs, you have no limits to creativity. With the addition of the unique built-in sequencers, it's easy to see why so many highly regarded producers and artists hold this little machine in such high regard.
In controller mode, TEENAGE ENGiNEERING OP-1 transforms into a full-blown MIDI controller, with transport access (play / stop, rec, rewind and forward), a two-octave keyboard with four infinite encoders, and a sound module that can be controlled by virtually any external software.
With the 4-track tape function you can record whatever you create by matching the speed of the tape to the sequencer tempo for overdubs and switching to the 4-channel mixer to add some punch with the built-in EQ and compressor.
TEENAGE ENGiNEERING OP-1 allows you to synchronize pocket operators or connect them to any other machine via MIDI over USB. Also when you connect TEENAGE ENGiNEERING OP-1 to a computer using the included USB cable, it appears as a MIDI controller or storage device, and if selected, you can copy audio files by simply dragging them.
The award-winning design with its color coded interface makes the TEENAGE ENGiNEERING OP-1 a synthesizer for everyone. The four colored encoders and symbols on the keyboard are all designed for easy reading and to make the control and shape of sounds intuitive and non-technical.
The vector-based graphical user interface is displayed on the brilliant 60 fps super-amplified display. All graphs are done in real time, so when a modulator is assigned to a synthesizer parameter, you can see how that specific parameter is animated, which specifies exactly what's going on.
