This sweet Fender Strat is from a unique line of guitars-- My understanding is that in the 90's bodies and necks from the USA factory were sent down to Mexico to be assembled with electronics from their asian factories (to save some cost) to create this "Squier Series" guitar. This one was converted to an HSS with a Dimarzio Super Distortion humbucker (as I'm told by the previous owner, I have not personally taken off the pick guard, but he had a receipt for the pickup at the time and it looks like one for sure). The gold pick guard looks sweet on it as well.
You can see unevenly faded paint from where there was remnants of several stickers that were once on it. it was mostly just adhesive and scraps of stickers when I got it so I cleaned it to get rid of the stickiness and dirt.
There are multiple chips in the paint (some rather large) and a few cracks in the finish but all in all the body and neck are structurally good and this guitar plays and sounds great! It has crackly pots/jack but it does output signal. The high E tuner was broken when I received the guitar so it was replaced with one off of a Korean Squire II parts guitar that I had around at the time. It doesn't match but it works great.
This guitar will ship with a generic hardcase
