One of the most icon bass guitar's ever designed, few things are as uniquely American as the Fender Jazz Bass. Good ole' Leo brought the first Jazz Bass to the music in 1960, and rest is history, it was a huge success then and still is today one of the best designed bass guitars available anywhere. Well know for their smooth playing, balanced design, super comfortable offset waist in the body, and of course the slim and racey feeling neck make playing this guitar a wonderful experience. They say if it aint broke don't fix it, and that's essentially what Fender has done with this bass over the years, as it still has that distinct look, and excellent playability. This Jazz Bass is the fretless version of the classic we've grown up on...  As with so many of Fender's original designs, the man got the essence of the Jazz Bass right the first time, and the new American Standard Jazz Bass bears that out!

Beautiful looking bass in the classic sunburst finish, there are some minor blemishes that are worth mentioning, on the back of the guitar on the treble side near the cut-away there is a thin scratch which is visible, and also on the back is small scratches near the edge of the bout..... both of these blemishes can be seen in the last two photo's of the listing. Included with purchase is a non original hard shell case. The case has some warping on the corner but this does not (fortunately) affect the functionality of the case or it's ability to protect the bass from future damage, it's still rock solid and can be used safely for gigging around town.

We made a nice little demo video of the actual guitar that we have for sale here, to help in your consideration of deciding if this is the axe for you. So please take a moment and check it out if your interested! The nut width is 1-1/2" inches, and she weighs in on our scales at exactly 9lbs.... very comfortable. Upon purchase we will reach out to you and get your personal specification on how you like the action setup, and which size and type of strings you prefer whether it be roundwounds or flatwounds etc, so that it arrives to you the way like to play it, and also avoiding a trip to the local luthier and dropping and additional $100 or so just to finally get it playing as it should. Our shop here is a brick and mortar repair shop that is capable of performing any all aspects of guitar repair and our awesome luthiers will take great care of you, as we do with great local customers as well!
