This listing is for a Vintage 1930's Gibson L-30 Archtop Acoustic Guitar. This is a cool player project guitar. This guitar has been completely refinished black in a fairly amateur manner and even has some rhinestones and cheap gems decorated around the exterior of the body & headstock. The guitar plays fairly well and the action is low and comfortable but the guitar will require some fret work and is fairly buzzy in some spot so please expect to do some fret work on the guitar.
The black refin appears to have been done decades ago. Cheap rhinestones & gems were glued around the edges of the guitar and headstock. The refinish was done over the bridge which is now sealed down. I have not attempted to move the bridge and it's not clear to me how tightly it is glued down. The tailpiece and bridge appear original. The tuners and truss rod cover are changed and not original. There is also evidence a pickup was mounted into the top and there some filled screws holes under the strings and a shadow from the pickup once was.
As I said at the beginning of the description this guitar is being sold as a project for repair and restoration and will need some repairs to achieve it's full potential. Please only buy this guitar if you are aware that it will require some professional repairs and adjustments.
The guitar comes with a non original chip-board soft shell case and will be expertly packed for safe shipping. Please look at the pictures and message with questions. Please message for international shipping rates.
