Meet "Betty Jean". I rescued her from a life of boredom back in the late 90's. She was bought new by the previous owner who soon lost interest and just kept her in his room, never taking her out or even appreciating what she is. I have to admit that I also didn't do much with her until my old Jazz left me. Most of her life she has been on a shelf, such a sad life knowing now what she had to give. After I got over the Jazz I began taking her out and soon realized what a treasure I had. She's good looking, She likes being handled and doesn't mind if you play rough with her. There's something about those beautiful classic lines you just don’t see in these modern upstarts with horns as long as a cucumber. (Makes me think they’re compensating for something )Yes I know she's 51 now and has a couple of small dings but that just makes her more attractive.                                    I'm a bit older than her and beginning to slow down which makes me feel a little guilty that I don't take her out as often these days, because I know she's ready to go any time I feel like playing.   If you are the kind that would bring her home and leave her waiting on the couch while you make a sandwich, she is definitely not your type. If you will bring her home, give her a cloth rub down, admire her lines and protect her, she'll be faithful, dependable and fun for as long as you like.   Sadly, as many men do, I have found a new dalliance in my life that promises to teach me things that I would have never thought of myself. With 10 strings,3 pedals and 4 levers, I've been mesmerized, plus I can sit the whole time I play her. I feel a little guilty in putting "Betty Jean" aside after all these years together but like many others, I have been seduced by all the bells and whistles that show up on a younger and more complicated endeavor.   If you are looking for the real deal, here she is. She has a hard shell case that I keep her in. It's not a Fender case but it protects her. I had the old cardboard case but just couldn't trust it to keep her safe. She has one ding at the bottom of her pickguard. She's never had a drink spilled on her or even ridden in a gig trailer, she's strictly classy all the way.
I would welcome your questions and can send pictures if it will help.
  Thanks for looking !            Dan
