Hi
I wish to start by saying I'm in no way a mandolinist
I have been buying and selling vintage instruments for 40 plus years
I rescued this little guy recently
I do know a great instrument when I encounter one....this is one.
I can set up
tune, and play some basic chords on a mandolin that's about it for me.
There's some finish wear here & there consistent with a 60 year old instrument.....( see pics )
Gibson A-style mandolin...falls somewhere in the 1952-1954 era
At some point in it's lifetime a P-90 mandolin pickup was installed professionally...
There's a strap bracket installed ( see pics ) and it appears to be missing the chrome tailpiece cover
All else seems to be original...frets and fingerboard are clean. No breaks or repairs Bridge is intact and it works as it should.
I really don't know anything about the Harmony kids from Edmonton Alberta...Or why they were compelled to amplify a mandolin....But god bless em as this thing sounds great amplified...(keep in mind my limited skills)
Volume and tone controls are mounted on the pickguard
I bought a hardshell case for this guy...The cardboard thing was mulch...new strings and strap included
Have a good look at the pics,,,They tell the story
Please write with any questions...I'll answer them to the best of my ability
I will ship world wide....write me if you need a shipping quote
