Antique Rigart Rubus Violin

We offer for sale this beautiful and unique violin. Labeled “Edward Withers, London” we believe this instrument was made by a Russian violin maker Rigart Rubus in the mid-late 19th Century. It’s unique design with round- edges, sometimes called “edgeless violin” makes us strongly believe that. The label was probably inserted at the later time. Except for two small repaired cracks on the top this instrument is in wonderful condition. Despite its unusual shape the violin sounds beautifully, producing full, warm tone.
