A lovely Hofner jazz-box dating to 1990! This example Jazzica features some fine upgrades and comes to us in great condition. Deep and loud, this guitar is acoustically very impressive, having unique body dimensions. Its lower bout measures 15.75" across & 10.25" waist, this guitars depth changes from a deep 4.5" at the butt end to a comfortable 2.25" by the heel. It is a satisfying acoustic arch top that is well complimented by an added unmarked blade style floating pickup, accompanied by a Benedetto pickguard. It is built with a fine solid spruce top intricately bound with cream, black and abalone. It has stunning flamed maple back & sides. Cosmetically, this guitar is in great shape, with only few spots where mild finish checking is present. This guitar has a 25.25" scale length and a comfortable 1 11/16" nut width (the nut has been upgraded to bone). The neck is straight and has typical medium low action and jumbo frets (recently level crown and polished), that measures 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The neck measures .80" thick at the first position and .90" at the twelfth. Gold hardware is in great shape with mild wear and tarnish present. Original tuner buttons have been replaced with nice black ones, but the originals are included with the sale. A great alternative electric arch top that is both unique and classic. Comes with the original hardshell case.
