Designed specifically to address the needs of engineers and producers working in less-than-perfect mixing spaces, the NFP series is built to deliver sonically accurate sound even in untreated acoustic environments. In addition, the cabinet's sealed construction has been built to provide dependable results, even when the speaker has to be placed in acoustically challenging locations and monitoring takes place at low volumes.
The NFP-1's design is based on the legendary BBC LS3/5 broadcast monitor, known for its clarity in the all-important mid-range frequencies where vocals reside, albeit with extended bass and treble for today's high-fidelity systems. An active monitor, the NFP-1 provides twin 100W RMS amplifiers, one for the single 5" Sica low/midrange driver, and the other for the 1.1" Sica soft-dome tweeter. The speaker is designed for use in small to medium control rooms.
