(NOS) Klark DN530 gate w/ manual booklet, blank warranty card, factory
test sheet, and AC cord.
Very hard to find a top notch analog gate these days, no one makes them
anymore...super
all analog gates for studio or live. Originally sold for around $1000
and
long discontinued 10+ years ago, these were the very last final
development of the
old Klark company's analog rackmount gates, right before behringer
bought
Klark and discontinued them. These were
developed from
the gates in Midas consoles (also pre behringer midas, as behr bought
both klark and midas at same time). I sold half a dozen of these units
already and everyone loves them, LAST ONE LEFT. Ships UPS ground in USA 48 states
only.
Very accurate, transparent and smooth, no artifacts or loss of
tonal range, set it right and you can't tell the difference of your
source except no noise.
This final version is better than all other Klark quad gates which I had
before, as well as all the BSS, Drawmer DBX and others...I have never
heard a better gate. Also can do frequency sweepable selective gating
if desired, to hone in on the main offending freq for even more
accuracy. And they have an adjustable "accent" effect control for adding
transient attack, similar to the spl transient designer...great on
drums and guitars to make them cut with more edge if desired (adjustable
& can be turned off as well). These got glowing reviews from the
big music mags when released saying what I said above. One review you
can still find online is from Audiotechnology magazine which
you can find by googling.
FEATURES: *Gate
attack is exponential which means it can be set extremely fast to
reduce signal loss at the start of sounds while remaining sonically
transparent - no clicks *Gate
release is reverse exponential so it can be set relatively fast and
blend in seamlessly with the natural decay of the material *Extremely low noise and distortion levels *Advanced band pass side chain filter to increase trigger source discrimination *The gate provides rotary controls for all envelope characteristics and range
*Unique progressively controllable accent effect emphasizes transient dynamics *External key inputs and ducking facilities *Balanced inputs + outputs
