It's a beautiful and playable 1941 Playtime archtop, as shown in the photos, someone at some point thought it was a good idea to put 2 small hobnails in the back with some glue to keep it from coming apart. Surprisingly it worked to some degree although I really wish they wouldn't have. Other than that this guitar is in excellent condition. The neck is as straight or straighter than any non-reinforced neck I've ever seen on an 81 year old guitar. It was most likely manufactured by Kay/Harmony, it's a War era guitar and the Harmony factory, from what I've learned, made the majority of the guitars being built around that time. I'm no expert so don't hold me to that but I've had it looked at more than once by folks that are experts and that's the story I was told.
