This Benedetto Fratello was custom built by Bob Benedetto himself for friend and fellow luthier Gary Mortoro in 1990. As listed in Benedetto's book, the guitar bears serial # 19490. Minus a little finish bubbling around the neck joint, this 17" archtop is flawless and looks as though it was never played! The instrument features a European solid spruce carved top with beautifully figured maple neck, back and sides. Ebony fingerboard, pickguard and cello style tailpiece round out the appointments. A pickguard mounted Bartolini pickup and volume control amplify this fine guitar. It is currently strung with 14 guage flatwounds, probably Thomastik-Infelds. Included is the Benedetto hard shell case. I will ship the guitar if necessary but prefer a pickup or hand exchange in a mutually agreeable location
