1970s Vintage Aria No. 796 MIJ Natural Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar Rare Matsumoku Pearl Block Inlays

This vintage MIJ Aria dreadnought has a fantastic tone and a fresh set up with frets polished and fretboard cleaned and conditioned. It features the original nut and adjustable saddle, beautiful pearl block inlays with full cream binding throughout the body, neck and headstock, 7.25” radius, .836” at 1st fret / .929” at 9th fret neck thickness, solid Spruce top with lacquer checking, rosewood sides and back, .092” thick frets, 21 frets total (including zero fret). Desirable 1 3/4” nut width! (1.792” / 45.53mm exactly). Guitar weighs a solid 5.06 lb and is 100% original with no mods or changes. It has slightly more rounded shoulders and the body width is 11 5/8” upper bout, 11 1/8” waist, and 16 1/8” lower bout.

It was likely made in the mid to late 70s, or possibly early 80s.

Unique Texan style bolt on neck for an easier action adjustment. The guitar plays well with plenty of room for adjustment via the adjustable bridge. Truss rod is healthy and is working condition, with very minimal tension on it. There are dings and surface wear, with some belly on the top, slightly lifting of bridge, and warping along the side where the rosewood veneer neck joint is.
