A dear fiend of mine gifted this amp to me many years ago and I believe that I am only the second owner. It was a kindly gesture but as I play the spoons and not the bass, I cannot make use of it and this Vox really needs to go to a good home.
I had it checked out recently and all of the electronics seem to be sound. A little too much “buzz” for me but it is very loud!
All you can see from the photos, it’s in pretty good condition for its 55 years.
In addition, I have made these few minor modifications to this amplifier.
- 75,000 watts of super deadly, super distortion sound.
- Tape out, tape in, tape thru, tape up.
- Low, hi, ultra hi, ultra low, pitter, patter, piss and pop filters.
- Screech hold, low boom grunt drop-off equalizer.
- Fuel injected, super-hyperdynamic forced air speaker system.
- 4 carbon steel screen horns.
- 350 lb. low-range “stomach ache” thrust generator and expulsion system.
- 5 volatile high-mass midrange “kickback-reburn” pressure condensers .
- Liquid submersion inert noise eliminator.
- “Hot blood” effect stabilizer and live noise driver simulator.
- Dual emergency cutoff controls.
- Overheat crash abort switch.
FEDRAL PERMIT REQUIRED!
That last bit was a joke but if any of you have any serious questions in regards to this amp I will be happy to respond in all honesty.Best wishes,
Bruce
