About This Listing

MXR Dyna Comp 2000 Series M-202 1983 Black

A nice, quality guitar compressor pedal. Dial in anything from just a bit of tone fattening to full sustain. Sounds very useful overall. Tone gets a little squishy with some breathing/pumping at extreme settings but hey, sometimes that’s exactly what you want for solo guitar. Dual outputs are fun and useful for splitting your guitar signal live and/or in the studio. Do not confuse this pedal with lesser quality MXR products in the 80s. The 2000 series were built rock solid.
MXR 2000 Dynacomp.
2000 Series (1982–1984)
The Series 2000 was a complete rework of the Reference and Commande lines of pedals. These were higher quality pedals, with electronic FET switching and dual LED indicators. They had a new contoured shape, an all-metal chassis and an easily removable plastic battery compartment door. These were fully rubberized on the bottom surface and were remote-controllable. Most of the pedals had two outputs for easy signal splitting, both live and in the studio.
