Using the "Character" knob on the front panel of the VT Bass DI evokes simulated Ampeg-style tones which combine with the drive and EQ sections to create a convincing palette of clean and distorted sounds, from a classic flip-top combo to a massive SVT. For additional realism, speaker cabinet simulation can be switched in; great for going direct to a live mixing board or studio recording console. The VT Bass DI is tuned to match the smooth sound of a cabinet loaded with 10" American-style bass speakers with multiple mics. Use the EQ controls to shape the sound you desire.

With the Character control set at maximum, the pedal evokes distorted bass tones reminiscent of progressive rock groups like Yes, King Crimson, and King's X
Mid, Low, and High: Unlike passive controls that only cut, these active tone controls cut or boost ±12 dB from unity gain (12 o'clock). Mid is 500 Hz, Low is 125 Hz, and High is 3.2 kHz
