About This Listing

Recordofone RC-36 serial #11414. This vintage rare record cutter and player I believe was manufactured in 1951. I believe all tubes are original. The large tube is open and all others are encased. All tubes tested good for emission, grid leakage and shorting. Powers on, turntable spins, inputs and ouputs send and recieve signals, speaker works, level indicator light works(really cool - half glows then whole glows when over input, never seen a bulb like that!) Play -Back and Microphone volume work, Tone switch and level control works, off, playback and record switch works. Side door where storage and power cord are located latches properly. Overall a pretty clean unit. Does not have stylus for the tone arm (it does receive vibration signals out to speaker) or cutting blade for cutting arm. Everything seems to function properly and wiring looks original but I do not have the tools to test cutting a record.
