A back to basics approach to a Cigar Box Guitar with a few twists.
Large Spanish Cedar Padron Cigar Box body, Black Nitro finished Oak and Ash 3 piece neck with Ash fingerboard, 3 piece Ash and Oak heel and 5 piece Ash.Oak.Ash/Oak Ash headstock, black 2/3/1 layout mini fret markers, Red be]earloid bound with jumbo frets. Vanson Hot wound Humbucker at the neck.
Volume and tone controls with chicken head knobs, old school wired with genuine Soviet era tone cap and treble bleed. Tone control is on a push pull switch for normal tone control pushed in or a straight through tone bypass or 'Bright' switch when pulled out. This thing has tone for decades!
As a point of interest, after talking to several 'born again' players of CBGs, Ukes and Tenor Guitars I decided to make this neck deliberately wider to cater for 'the larger/older finger'. Something that is now almost always asked for in my custom orders.
