Kay Reissue BARNEY KESSEL Artist K6700V
Designed in 1957 by Barney Kessel, the Artist has a 15 1/2” wide body and is the perfect guitar for Jazz Ensembles, Lounge or Combo Groups. Barney often used the K6700 Artist for recording sessions with the “Wrecking Crew” and artist like Elvis, Sam Cooke, Ike & Tina, etc. The Kay Guitar Company has reissued the Artist and recreated this versatile instrument to echo the Swinging ‘50s Jazz era.

About This Guitar:
This guitar features a comfortable mid-sized jazz body... 15 1/2" wide and 3 3/8" deep. Short 24 3/4" scale for fast fingering and easy playing... same electronic equipment as the Jazz Special and Pro. An all around versatile guitar best suited for, but not limited to Jazz Ensembles and Blues/Jazz trios & quartets. Semi-solid construction assures "solid body" ruggedness and "acoustical guitar" response and tone quality.
This is a reproduction of Barney Kessel's favorite go-to recording guitar when working with artists such as Ike & Tina, Elvis, The Beach Boys and in "The Wrecking Crew" with Phil Spector.
Available in Natural Blonde and Tobacco Sunburst.
