B.C. Rich Immaculate Mockingbird Left Handed Custom Shop 1992 Black

OK, here is a super rare one for you!
c1992 Class Axe BC Rich Custom Shop left handed Mockingbird. Exceptionally rare.

This has been a very difficult guitar to identify and categorise. At one point i thought it was an Ed Roman, but i have it on good authority it is a Class Axe Custom Shop model. There is a TM next to the script logo on the headstock that is almost entirely hidden by the truss rod cover (see photo).

There is no serial number stamped on the neck, the bolt-on neck is without a plate and i haven't taken the neck off to look at the pocket. It would seem therefore that this was an early Class Axe custom shop model assembled using parts inherited from Bernie Rico, as the neck is identical to my other 7 1980s USA bolt-on BCRs.

Hardware is a TRS locking trem which is well balanced and is a good equivalent of a OFR. EMG 85 in bridge, EMG 60 in neck. The best combination!!
The neck is a one piece maple neck... the side dot markers are placed for a righty with the decal being reversed, so this would fit with a custom shop bolt-on product.

Bought from a BCR collector (Tom T) in 2007.

Now to the good stuff! This guitar plays like an absolute dream. The neck is faster than anything, and the tone of this guitar is unbelievable. It easily matches the tone of the other 5 80s BCR custom shop guitars i have.
The body is light... i believe it is alder, and it is not too thickly cut, so is not a typical BCR block of concrete!! Balance is surprisingly good.
The finish is in immaculate condition... only one tiny chip in the lacquer on the long horn (see photos).

Almost non-existent fret wear, neck in perfect condition. Sounds excellent. Electronics in perfect condition. Plays perfectly. Neck straight.

This ships from Canada. Luckily, this is a maple fretboard so we don't have to worry about CITES permits, so open to all international bidders. US buyers, take advantage of the fact the Canadian dollar is in the toilet to get an absolute bargain.
