If you're a gear / Fender nerd like me, you're going to love this one! Beautiful 1977 P Bass in factory black over sunburst!
Apparently in the 70's most Fender basses were finished in sunburst and if you ordered a custom color and they were running behind/ had misfired on burst they'd just spray over it. The sunburst is just peeking through and it looks killer.
Most outrageous flame maple neck, and tone is that classic P wall-of-sound thump with great articulation. I put on the anodized gold guard and aged covers, but everything else is original to my knowledge.
Plays well up and down the board. A few superficial bumps but nothing unusual for a bass that's been lovingly played over the years. 9.2 lbs on my bathroom scale with bridge cover on. Can probably even drop a few more ounces if you swap out the anodized guard.Comes with OHSC and currently strung with flats for that old school mojo. Really solid bass
