This is (most likely) a mid-90s reissue of the Fender '64 reverb tank. However, what makes this one different is that someone along the way converted it from modern circuit board back to point-to-point like the originals. But what makes it even more interesting is that they added an internal preamp trim pot so you can drive the reverb more for the surf sound, or lay off of it for more of a plate reverb sound (removes the typical spring "Boing" from the effect). It’s very very cool and unique. Sounds like John Mayer’s lush reverb.
