I have a 1990s Axis that has seen a lot of use but still plays great. I acquired this used. Hardly any fretwear. Top looks great. Matching headstock. The back has significant rash and is missing the backplate. There are the requisite neck pocket finish cracks that are so common with these (the neck has been removed to verify that these are in the finish ONLY). There are also cracks around the locking nut screws. I spoke with Music Man about these, as I was about to order a new neck, and was told these are common, too, and one of the major reasons they switched to the newer nut without the screws. The guitar plays great, stays in tune like a Music Man should, and included the EVH d-tuna. The trem arm was not original and I bought another aftermarket from StuMac but neither are like the original and I have been unable to source one. I’m happy to answer any questions or take more photos if interested. I will take the best offer.
