Selling a closely matched pair of vintage 1955 GE 6072/12AY7 black plate tubes. These are military-spec JG (JAN) tubes featuring triple mica construction, support rods, and D getters. One is GE-branded, while the other was manufactured by GE for Heintz & Kaufman.

I purchased these from a reputable vintage tube seller who professionally tested them on a Hickok 600A and Orange Valve Tester. Both tested in the NOS range and were reported to have extremely low noise and microphonics.

Original test results:

  • Tube 1: 1425/1550, Orange 7/7
  • Tube 2: 1500/1575, Orange 7/8

These are excellent vintage American-made tubes, particularly well suited for guitar amps and high-end audio equipment that use 12AY7/6072 tubes.
