A-110-6 TTZQ VCO - Doepfer
Because its core is derived from analog trapezoid shaping rather than an everyday triangle wave, the resulting sine and cosine shapes carry subtle, sweet odd-harmonic warmth that sits with uncommon presence in a mix. Driving the linear through-zero FM core yields glassy bell tones, rich wooden percussive clangs, and intricate metallic timbres while maintaining rock-solid tracking stability.

The A-110-6 is a Trapezoid Thru-Zero Quadrature VCO/LFO based on Donald Tillman's innovative 2003 circuit design revised for modern Eurorack standards. It generates two quadrature trapezoid waveforms with a 90-degree phase shift, from which quadrature pairs for triangle, sine, rectangle, and sawtooth waveforms are derived—delivering ten simultaneous outputs. Featuring both exponential and linear frequency modulation, the linear section supports true through-zero behavior where negative modulation voltages drop below 0 Hz and reverse the oscillator's phase.
