Discover reliable tone and easy playability with the Thomastik-Infeld AL400 Alphayue Cello String Set 4/4, available at Irvine Art and Music. Designed for full-size cello, this complete medium-gauge set offers a balanced feel, quick response, and a clear, supportive sound that works especially well for developing players.

Alphayue cello strings are built to help players get a dependable sound without fighting the instrument. Their responsive feel supports smooth bow changes, clear articulation, and confident practice, making them a practical choice for students, advancing cellists, and school programs.

The AL400 set combines carbon steel A and D strings with rope-core G and C strings for a balanced playing experience across the register. The A string is Hydronalium wound, the D string is Multialloy wound, and the G and C strings are chrome wound for a focused, consistent response from top to bottom.

This set is designed for 4/4 cello with a medium gauge. The A and D strings use ball ends, while the G and C strings use crimp ball ends, offering a secure fit for standard cello tailpieces.
