CONTRAPTION is a stringed electro-acoustic instrument in the vein of Sound Urchin, Urchin Guiro Delay, and other sound-box instruments. It boast two tunable strings, 2 threaded bars for guiro-like play, as well as a spring-ish metal attachment for adding variation.
Of course you can always re-string the instrument, remove the spring-ish attachment, and add your own vibratory noise makers.
Like all SOUND URCHINS, this instrument turns the surface it on into a giant contact mic. Metal tables are great.
