Features & Performance

Exceptional Feedback Rejection

The Audix OM7 features a tight hypercardioid pickup pattern that provides excellent isolation from surrounding instruments and stage monitors.

It's especially effective in environments where feedback can be a problem, making it an excellent choice for vocalists performing with loud bands or in smaller venues.

Professional Vocal Clarity

Featuring Audix's proprietary VLM (Very Low Mass) diaphragm technology, the OM7 provides excellent transient response, detailed vocal reproduction, and a clear, focused sound that cuts through a mix.

High SPL Handling

Designed to handle powerful vocals and high sound pressure levels without distortion, the OM7 is a dependable choice for demanding performances.

Low-Output Design

One unique characteristic of the OM7 is its intentionally low output level, approximately 8–10 dB lower than many conventional dynamic microphones.

This design contributes to its excellent resistance to feedback, although a quality microphone preamp with sufficient clean gain is recommended for optimal performance.

Rugged Construction

Built with a durable zinc alloy body and steel mesh grille, the OM7 is designed to withstand professional use while maintaining consistent sound quality.

Why I'm Selling

This microphone was purchased for use with our music setup but has only been used in our rehearsal space. It never became part of our live performance equipment and simply isn't getting enough use to justify keeping it.

Rather than have quality equipment sitting around, I'd prefer it go to someone who can put it to good use.

Final Thoughts

The Audix OM7 is an excellent choice for singers who need professional sound quality, outstanding feedback rejection, and a microphone built to handle demanding performance environments.

With its extremely limited use outside of rehearsals, this is a great opportunity to pick up a quality professional vocal microphone without paying full retail price.
