Meinl Byzance 24" Big Apple Dark Ride (model B24BADAR) - 2874 grams.
Hand-hammered B20 bronze, made in Turkey, with the raw, unlathed dark finish. A big, dark, washy jazz ride with a dry, articulate stick sound sitting on top of a warm, complex wash. Crashable, and the bell is musical without being glassy. At 2874g it's on the lighter side for a 24", so it opens up easily at lower volumes.
Condition: Played but well cared for. Normal stick marks and patina consistent with use. There is one medium-sized (roughly 1-3") cosmetic surface scratch on the top where another riveted cymbal rubbed against it in a cymbal bag. It's surface only and has no effect on the sound. No cracks, no keyholing, no repairs. Original Meinl serial/weight sticker still on the underside (see photos).
