DIY Touch Box Electric Cajon 2026 - Hand Painted

A great tool for making beats and textures using your hands or attaching other tools with the mount on top of this box to capture contact vibrations. This is a handmade contact box with a piezo pickup connected to a 1/4” jack. This doesn’t need any phantom power or use an external power plug. It relies on the input gain of your preamp to capture signal.

This device was used to create a song: “Shut Up, Dude” by Sidewalk Police

A majority of the sounds in this song were made using this box as the source of the sound. We used amps, plugins, and outboard gear to shape the sounds. Have a listen to get an idea of what this box can do.

I hand painted the box and sealed it with a clear varnish to preserve the paint. The distressed marks were intentional and this will fade over time with handling. Only the box and the mount w/ screws is included in this sale. Any other items in the photos are not included. Please ask any questions.
