The vintage 1970s variant features the cursive "Fender" logo printed completely horizontally/straight relative to the edges of the strap. Modern variants or late 80s/90s reissues transitioned to a diagonal/angled logo script. The underside features a smooth, black vinyl/faux leather padded lining stitched tightly along the borders. The custom metallic clips/snaps installed on the leather ends were a popular aftermarket modification in the 1970s, allowing quick detachment from the instrument before heavy-duty modern strap locking systems became mainstream.
