Kawai CA901 Digital Piano

As the flagship of the Concert Artist series, the Kawai CA901 digital piano provides piano players at all levels with a first-class playing experience. Housed in a furniture-grade upright cabinet, the Kawai CA901 is ideal for homes, schools, and houses of worship. Exceptional design features, including real wooden keys with an ivory-touch surface, multi-sampled concert grand piano sounds, 256-note polyphony, and premium speakers, afford you the look, sound, and feel of a real acoustic piano. The CA901 is another outstanding achievement in Kawai’s exceptional Concert Artist series, designed to delight even the most discerning players.

Authentic Acoustic Piano Feel

When you lay your fingers on the Kawai CA901, it greets you with the exquisite feel of real wooden keys coated in a finely textured ivory- and ebony-like surface. Depress the keys, and you’ll swear you’re playing a real piano, courtesy of Kawai’s Grand Feel III action.

Developed around the long-established principles of acoustic piano design, Grand Feel III comprises numerous elements to deliver an unbelievably authentic playing experience. Extra-long key and pivot lengths provide an evenly balanced touch from the front to the back of each key, allowing incredible expressive control and fluency.

Graded counterweights contribute to the CA901’s balanced feel, while triple-sensor key detection enhances the realism of the keybed’s responsiveness. Finally, let-off simulation mimics an acoustic piano’s subtle “notch” sensation, which is helpful when playing delicate pianissimo lines.

Authentic Concert Grand Piano Sound

The Kawai CA901’s exceptional sound is derived from the company’s flagship SK-EX grand pianos, widely regarded as some of the finest-made Japanese pianos.

The CA901 features two SK-EX models: a new-generation Competition Grand with a brilliant, modern tonality and an earlier Concert Grand with a warm, rich tone. Both pianos were meticulously captured using cutting-edge multichannel sampling and heightened with full resonance modeling to provide the immersive and detailed sound of authentic world-class pianos.

Furthermore, the CA901’s Harmonic Imaging XL sound engine offers an even broader selection of instrument voices, which you can freely layer and combine to craft your ideal tone.

Add to that personalized piano adjustments, a variety of additional instruments, such as organs, strings, and synths, and a robust effects section, and the CA901 becomes a truly comprehensive instrument suitable for any performance application.

Premium Appointments for a Deluxe Playing Experience

Beyond the incredible sound and feel of the Kawai CA901 are a host of premium features to ensure a deluxe playing experience.

The CA901 is housed in a furniture-grade wood cabinet with Kawai’s soft-fall closing mechanism, tapered legs, and thoughtful rounded-edge details. The piano’s sound emanates from premium speaker drivers, which channel the sound into a real wooden soundboard for a more organic character.

Additional expressiveness is provided by the Grand Feel pedal system, which includes damper, soft, and sostenuto pedals.

Moreover, the CA901 boasts Spatial Headphone Technology for silent practice that doesn’t sacrifice tone, Bluetooth connectivity, MP3 and WAV playback, and built-in lessons and finger exercises.
