Today at EGV we have a loaded 1960 Jazzmaster body with all of the original parts it would’ve left the factory with in 1960.
This 1960 body comes to us from the original owner who purchased it in High School back in 1960. He played it heavily throughout the years, replaced the neck sometime in the 70’s, and had Virgil Lay of Lay’s guitar in Akron refinish the body back in the late 80’s.
The pots date to 1959 which isn’t uncommon on these early JM’s, the neck plate dates to 1960, so we are calling this one a 1960.
The bridge, tremolo, pickguard, pickups, pots, knobs, shielding plates, strap buttons, and neck plate are all original. Everything you see minus the finish. Pickups test strong and sound great.
Please ask any and all questions prior to sale, all sales are final.
