SABIAN 22" HHX Evolution Ride

The 22" HHX Evolution Ride delivers a responsive, articulate cymbal that activates with the lightest touch while maintaining excellent projection. Developed in collaboration with Dave Weckl to meet demand for a larger ride in the Evolution series, this cymbal combines crisp attack with warm undertones, producing a shimmering character with genuine crash capability.

Tone & Sonic Character

This ride produces a dark, modern voice with warm undertones balanced by brightness in the high frequencies. The combination of crisp attack and crash-ready response makes it versatile across styles—capable of cutting through in ensemble settings while maintaining musicality in quieter playing.

Construction & Materials

Cast from B20 bronze alloy and worked with HHX hammering, the 22" HHX Evolution Ride is engineered for sensitivity and tonal complexity. The medium-thin weight class (approximately 2764g) balances responsiveness with durability, allowing the cymbal to speak freely under all dynamic levels.
