Description

Vintage late-1970s Ludwig Quadra Plus concert tom set featuring the distinctive blue-and-olive Ludwig badges and original finish. This is a six-piece drum configuration with a 22” bass drum, four concert toms, and an 18” floor tom.

The set has been carefully disassembled, cleaned, polished, waxed, buffed, and reassembled. Original hardware has been retained wherever possible, preserving the character and appearance of this vintage Ludwig kit.

Included Drums and Hardware

• 22” bass drum
• 12”, 13”, 14”, and 15” concert toms
• 18” floor tom with original legs
• Bass-drum double-tom holder
• Matching, era-appropriate double-tom mounting stand
• Original Ludwig hardware and badges, with a few replacement screws and springs

Please note: No snare drum is included. The concert toms are single-headed drums and do not have bottom heads.

Restoration and Condition

The drums have received extensive hands-on cleaning and restoration. Hardware was removed, cleaned, polished, and reassembled. The shells were cleaned and polished, and the exterior finish was waxed and buffed.

The original wrap has been retained. As is common with vintage drum wrap, it has shrunk with age, leaving small gaps at the original seams. These are age-related issues, not a newly applied finish. Please review the photos carefully for a clear view of the wrap condition.

The kit was previously stored in a damp environment by a previous owner. The interiors of three shells were cleaned to remove mildew, and protective lacquer was applied in two coats. Some residual staining remains around portions of the interior and bearing edges on some drums. The bearing edges have been left original rather than aggressively refinished.

Overall, this is a cleaned-up and carefully preserved vintage Ludwig set with its original character intact. It would make an interesting addition to a vintage Ludwig collection or a distinctive concert-tom setup.

Vintage drums naturally show signs of age and use. Please examine all photos, which are part of the description, and feel free to ask questions before purchasing.

Drums and included hardware only. No snare, cymbals, or other accessories are included unless specifically listed above.

Shipping will be carefully arranged to protect the drums and hardware in transit.
