BOSS IR-200 Amp & IR Cabinet Simulator – Excellent Condition

The BOSS IR-200 is an outstanding-sounding amp and cabinet simulator that packs an incredible amount of flexibility and professional-quality sound into a compact pedal. Whether you're building a direct-to-PA rig, recording in your home studio, or putting together a versatile stereo pedalboard, the IR-200 delivers excellent amp tones and realistic cabinet sounds without needing a traditional amplifier or speaker cabinet.

I'm selling mine because I'm making some changes to my guitar rig. This pedal is in excellent condition and was only used for a couple of months in my home studio. It has been well cared for and has never been used for gigging or taken on the road.

Contents: It comes with the original packaging, manual, rubber feet and the Boss PSA-120S power adapter (500mA). The power adapter included in this sale is a Boss PSA-120S with 500mA, since the IR-200 needs more than the standard 200 mA power adapter.

Details:

This is a great-sounding pedal with a lot of capability. The amp models are easy to dial in, and the ability to load your own impulse responses (IRs) gives you tremendous flexibility to get exactly the sound you're looking for.

Amp Modeling & Cabinet Simulation

The IR-200 includes eight realistic guitar amp models and eight bass amp models, covering a wide range of tones and playing styles. The familiar Gain, Level, Bass, Middle, and Treble controls make dialing in your sound straightforward, much like working with a traditional amplifier.

The built-in impulse response loader gives you an extensive selection of cabinet sounds right out of the box:

• 144 high-quality BOSS cabinet impulse responses.
• 10 additional Celestion Digital impulse responses.
• 128 user IR slots for loading your own cabinet impulse responses.
• Support for mono and stereo WAV impulse response files.
• Ability to run two different cabinet IRs simultaneously, in either mono or stereo.

The ability to load your own IRs makes this unit especially versatile. You're not limited to the factory cabinet sounds and can experiment with different speakers, cabinets, and microphone combinations.

Excellent Stereo Capabilities

One of the standout features of the IR-200 is its stereo operation. You can run two impulse responses simultaneously, making it possible to create different cabinet sounds for the left and right channels.

This is particularly useful for building a stereo guitar rig, creating wider-sounding tones, or sending different cabinet voicings to separate recording or monitoring destinations.

Extensive EQ & Tone Shaping

The IR-200 offers considerable control over your sound:

• Two independent EQs for each memory location.
• Two additional global EQs.
• Selectable graphic or parametric EQ operation.
• Built-in Room, Studio, and Hall ambience effects.

These controls make it easy to tailor your sound for different guitars, pickups, monitoring systems, recording situations, or live environments.

Pedalboard Integration

The IR-200 is designed to work as part of a complete guitar rig. Its effects loop provides additional flexibility for integrating external pedals and studio effects.

The effects loop includes a mono send and mono/stereo return, with selectable pre-cab or post-EQ positioning. This gives you several options for configuring your signal chain.

External control is also supported through additional footswitches, expression pedals, and TRS MIDI.

Direct Recording & Connectivity

The built-in USB audio interface makes the IR-200 an excellent home recording tool. Connect directly to your Mac, Windows PC, or compatible iOS device for recording and playback.

Its high-quality digital processing includes:

• 32-bit AD/DA conversion.
• 32-bit floating-point processing.
• 96kHz sampling rate.
• High-resolution impulse response reproduction.

You can record directly into your DAW without needing a separate amplifier, microphone, or cabinet.

Condition

• Excellent cosmetic and working condition.
• Used for only a couple of months.
• Home studio use only.
• Never gigged or used on the road.
• Fully functional.

The BOSS IR-200 is a very capable piece of gear that sounds fantastic and offers much more flexibility than you might expect from a pedal this size.

If you're looking for a high-quality amp simulator, cabinet IR loader, stereo solution, or direct recording setup, this is a great option.
